Project Model: Chelsey R.

I had a fabulous time yesterday afternoon with a beautiful young lady from SE Michigan named Chelsey R. She was eager to become a part of Project Model despite the fact that she didn't exactly consider herself "overqualified as far as modeling experience" goes. Well, she could have fooled me- I knew from the second I saw her face that she would be a fabulous model.
Can you say "rocked it?"

We actually met for an outdoor shoot in the rain (which I never do). We were thankful for our umbrellas and even more thankful that the rain let up about half way through our time together. She was such a great sport- she even trudged her way down totally wet muddy paths in her colorful heels. LOL!

Chelsey is a very high energy, artistic, liberal, kind, and fun person to be around. She is also a graduate of Specs Howard School of Broadcasting and has an interest in photography. She wanted to do a shoot that represented who she was as an individual and I think we accomplished that very well.

Do I have to have modeling experience to book a session?

Project: Model was created for young adults (ages 17 - 27ish) who either have experience modeling and want to add to their portfolios, for those who would like to start modeling, for high school seniors wanting MORE than a standard studio shot to remember high school by and for those who always thought it would be FUN to try modeling for a day. I have worked with many people and am happy to "guide" you as far as posing, clothing selections and coming up with ideas to help you personalize our session together.

What is the cost of participating in Project Model?

My standard creative fee of $200 includes up to a 2 hour session for up to 2 subjects, with one low resolution digital file for your portfolio use (yearbook if you are a Senior) and a $50 print credit to be used with your session print order. Multiple locations within the allowed time frame and clothing changes, consultation and suggestions prior to your shoot, some fine art editing, all retouching services. You have the option of purchasing prints/digital files from my a la carte menu. This fee is nonrefundable and due at time of booking. Fine art canvas and print collections, ranging from $125- $600, are also available for purchase.
Your images will all be fine edited and placed in a private slideshow on my website within two weeks of our shoot where it will remain for a minimum of two weeks time. In addition, you will be featured in my Project: Model blog, if desired.

Can more than one person be in the same shoot?

Do you do TFP/TFCD work?

If time allows or I am in need of models for a special project I will consider TFCD/TFP work with select models only. My schedule does not allow for much of this type of work; however, feel free to contact me with detailed information for consideration if you are a model in need. Most often, I will do a reduced rate with limited CD files rather than TFCD only. Contact me for further information. In addition, I offer reduced rates for return modeling clients or for modeling clients who refer me to others with a paid booking because I realize models need recent pictures all the time.

Hair, Wardrobe & Make-Up

Please keep in mind that using stylists to assist you in make-up, hairstyle and clothing selections can be a great assistance. I am happy to recommend people to you if you are in need of consultation- or assist you in making the choices myself. I am very aware of the fact that using a stylist is not for everyone!You may also find it helpful to refer to magazines and clothing catalogs for inspiration. Don't be afraid to experiment with various styles before the date of the shoot or to ask my opinion on an idea you are considering. I am happy to help!

Use of Props & Accessories

Change of Clothing

Are you wondering how many different "looks" or outfit changes you will have time for? It varies per session; however, 2-3 looks can usually be achieved within the scheduled time frame. You may choose to use accessories in some images to alter the look of your outfit, or to dress in layers so that some can be removed with ease to obtain a new look. Simply adding a jacket and swapping shoes can give you a whole new look. For best results, prepare to bring along at least one change of clothing with a handful of accessories.
